i've seen the name "tanith lee" around before but could not have told you a single fact about her, so ty for enlightening... honestly that "secondary bittersweet religious-doubt sensibility" sounds VERY intriguing to me on top of the more gothic OTT stuff; will keep an eye vaguely out in her direction haha
